Episode chapter Begins: The Chūnin Exam!

  • Team 7 returns to the Hidden Leaf after the Land of Waves mission.

  • Naruto stretches and laughs, “Finally, we’re back! Believe it!”

  • Sakura sighs, “Just don’t cause trouble already…”

  • At Ichiraku Ramen, Naruto devours bowls happily.

  • He boasts, “I’m stronger than ever! Next time, I’ll be the one protecting everyone!”

  • Iruka watches proudly from afar, smiling.

  • Scene shifts to the Hokage’s office.

  • The Third Hokage listens to Kakashi’s report.

  • He nods, “So… they faced an opponent like Zabuza and survived. These children are growing.”

  • Outside, Naruto runs into Konohamaru, who still calls him “Boss.”

  • They laugh and mess around until a girl suddenly grabs Konohamaru by the scarf.

  • Naruto shouts angrily, “Hey! Let him go!”

  • The girl glares — it’s Temari from the Sand.

  • Beside her stands Kankurō, smirking, and Gaara, silent with piercing eyes.

  • Kankurō sneers, “What’s this, a little brat trying to play hero?”

  • Naruto growls, “I’m no brat! I’ll take you on right here!”

  • Before they clash, Sasuke appears behind Naruto, calm and confident.

  • Sasuke says coolly, “You’re picking on the wrong kids.”

  • Kankurō tenses, realizing Sasuke’s strength.

  • Gaara finally speaks, cold and intimidating, “Enough. We’re not here to waste time.”

  • He steps past them, his presence freezing everyone in silence.

  • Later, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura learn about the upcoming Chūnin Exams.

  • Iruka worries, thinking it’s too early, but the Hokage approves their entry.

  • Naruto pumps his fist, “Heh! I’ll pass for sure, and become one step closer to Hokage!”

  • Sasuke smirks, “Don’t hold me back, dobe.”

  • Sakura sighs, but smiles faintly, “Here we go again…”

  • The episode ends with Team 7 preparing for their next big challenge — the Chūnin Exams.
