Episode 27: The Chunin Exam Stage 2: The Forest of Death

  • The test inside the Forest of Death continues.

  • Team 7 advances cautiously, tension hanging in the air.

  • Naruto (grumbling): “Man, I still can’t believe that creep earlier… this place is insane!”

  • Sasuke (focused): “Stay sharp. There are stronger enemies than that waiting for us.”

  • Sakura (clutching the scroll): “We just need to survive and keep this scroll safe…”

  • Suddenly, the disguised Grass ninja (Orochimaru in disguise) appears again.

  • His killing intent crashes over them like a wave, freezing Sakura in place.

  • Naruto (stiffens, sweat dripping): “It’s him… that creepy guy!”

  • Sasuke (grits teeth, activating Sharingan): “Don’t let your guard down!”

  • Orochimaru (smiling cruelly): “My, my… such promising prey. Hand me the scroll, and maybe I’ll spare your lives.”

  • Naruto steps forward bravely.

  • Naruto: “Like hell! I’ll protect my team no matter what!”

  • He creates dozens of Shadow Clones, rushing at Orochimaru.

  • But Orochimaru simply opens his mouth wide — a massive snake bursts forth, swallowing Naruto whole.

  • Sakura (screams): “Naruto!!”

  • Sasuke (shock in his eyes): “He… he just—!”

  • Orochimaru (chuckling): “One down.”

  • Inside the snake’s stomach, Naruto struggles.

  • Naruto (grunting): “Damn it… not like this…!”

  • His hand brushes against a kunai with an explosive tag.

  • Naruto (grins): “Gotcha.”

  • BOOM! The snake explodes, Naruto bursts free, panting but alive.

  • Naruto (wiping his mouth): “You think you can eat me that easy?! Believe it!!”

  • Orochimaru (smirking): “Interesting…”

  • Meanwhile, Sasuke fights desperately, using his Sharingan to predict Orochimaru’s snake strikes.

  • He dodges left and right, barely keeping up.

  • Sasuke (thinking): “This power… it’s unreal. He’s not an ordinary genin… not even close.”

  • Sakura (terrified, frozen): “I… I can’t move… my body won’t listen…”

  • She watches helplessly as her teammates struggle.

  • Orochimaru suddenly charges Sasuke.

  • He moves like a blur, striking faster than Sasuke can follow.

  • Sasuke (shock): “Tch—he’s reading my movements, even with Sharingan?!”

  • Orochimaru (taunting): “Your eyes are beautiful… I must have them.”

  • He licks his lips, unsettling Sasuke even further.

  • Naruto intervenes again, stabbing Orochimaru with a kunai.

  • For a moment it looks like a hit — but Orochimaru’s body stretches grotesquely, like a snake shedding skin.

  • Naruto (horrified): “What the—?!”

  • Orochimaru (emerging from his old skin): “Such a noisy brat.”

  • He knocks Naruto aside with a single devastating strike, slamming him into a tree.

  • Sasuke is trembling now, torn between fight and flight.

  • Orochimaru (smiling wider): “Yes… show me your fear. Fear gives power… and you will need it.”

  • Sakura (in despair): “Sasuke… Naruto… we can’t win against him…”

  • Episode ends on a cliffhanger.

  • Orochimaru looms over them with a terrifying grin.

  • Naruto groans on the ground, barely conscious.

  • Sasuke stands frozen, his Sharingan glowing, realizing he’s facing a monster far beyond his level.
